AFA UPGRADES TECHNOLOGY AFA classrooms are now being upgraded by being fitted with high speed internet connections. Every classroom currently has at least one internet ready computer. The computers are being networked to a central server. AFA is looking to provide fully networked, wireless computer lab to be setup anywhere and that has the quality, security and reliability of a conventional wired lab. This way AFA aims to create a perfect one-on-one computer-to-student ratio while saving space and meeting AFA’s modest budget. Estimate cost to implement this project is $35,000. AL-FURQAN ACADEMY – PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE Here are some of the things AFA will like to accomplish in the next three years:

Improve its physical facilities by relocating to new building that can be built on a two-acre plot of land adjacent to ICNEF and currently owned by ICNEF.

Improve curriculum to infuse Islam in all aspects of AFA’s curriculum

Improve multi-media capabilities of class rooms and the library.

Establish facilities for rigorous physical education.

Provide summer learning activities.

Provide a variety of extracurricular actitivities

Children are the greatest resource of any community - for they represent the future. Educating our children as Muslims is an investment in the future. But preparing for their upcoming challenges requires vision, careful planning, commitment and sacrifice.
